Who will be the Photographer at our event?

We have a wide selection of qualified photographers in Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver that can take photos at all types of events. You can find our list of photographers on our team page. The Ottawa Photographer for your event will be chosen based on your preferences and our availabilities. The earlier you book, the better your chance of getting the photographer that you want.

Have you taken pictures at our venue before?

We have taken pictures in a variety of settings across Canada, including hotels, legion halls, and restaurants. We’re able to accommodate any event. Our objective is to create lasting memories for you through pictures. No matter the venue requirements, size or style, we can help! Just let us know how!

Do you give any direction, or is it all just candid?

Our direction will help you capture the perfect images! Being ‘just candid’ isn’t always enough. Some people love taking photos, while others don’t. We want to help everyone feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Also, our Ottawa’s best photographers are experienced at making everyone feel included.

Do you use any flash or lighting?

Although we mostly use natural light, there are times when lighting can help us achieve the perfect look.

How will you send me the pictures?

We will send the pictures via WeTransfer or Google Drive. Alternatively, if you want a wedding album we can provide that too.

What if our main photographer can’t make it?

We believe that natural lighting is usually the best option, but there are some exceptions. For example, when the sun goes down, we sometimes use flash photography to get amazing shots of the dance floor.

How much of a deposit is required to secure our date?

At no extra cost, another photographer will be present at every event. This backup Ottawa photographer will take pictures on behalf of the original Ottawa photographer and be kept in the loop at all times. For more detailed information, please read our FAQ page.

What is your refund policy?

A 50% deposit and signed agreement are required to secure our services. However, if you cancel 90 days or more before the photo shoot, the deposit is refundable. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the photo shoot. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards, PayPal and Interac e-transfers as payment methods.

Will the photographer take the photos I want?

Yes, we would love to bring your vision to life! At Photo Kings, it’s all about you and your needs. Our goal is to capture all the special moments you want to remember. To help us prepare, we send out an online planning form to each client where we cover every detail about your photo shoot. The more details we collect, the better we can prepare! Let us know if you have any special requests so that we can accommodate them!
